[스크랩] 2 - Gloval ECOVIEW에 실린 만현큰스님 인터뷰 내용입니다

The Buddha that Monk Jajae Manhyon has revaled id one that id a being that has the three bodies, namely, the Dharma Body, the Reward Body and the Transformation Body.  The Dharma Body id the origin of the Reward and Transformation Bodies.  The buddha Body made of immeasurable light is the essential element to become a Buddha.  Monk Jajae Manhyon says that there must be a decision made by Sskyanuni Buddha for a Buddha to be born in this Saha-world.   자재만현 큰스님이 밝히는붓다의 경지는 법신, 보신, 화신의 삼신을 가진 존재이며, 법신은 화신과 보신의 근본이 되는 것이다. 말하자면 무량광으로 이루어 지는 불신은 붓다가 되는 핵심요소가 되는 것이다.  사 바세계에 한 분의 붓다가 오기 위해서는 석가모니 부처 님의 선택이 있어야 한다는 것이 자재만현 큰스님의 설명이다.   "I see immeasurable light - a clear, bright and lucid light - during my practice. Then I pass another gateway, meet with many Busshas in deep samadhi who have come to see me and listen to their Dharma talks directly.  I listen to the Dharma of Buddhas, receive their guidance on my practice and as I practice as a Buddha, I enter deeper into samadhi."     Even to Buddhist disciples, the remarks that the Great Monk has made are not usual.  It is because books written by past Great Master Monks or those of the Seon Sect seldom speak of these things.  At first glance, one with no connection with Buddhism will have difficulty understanding thid state which Great Monk Jajae Manhyon refers to.    "It was January 2001.  While practcing chanting the sacred name of a Buddha he entered the samadhi.  Buddha said to him :"   "나는 수행 중에 천문학적으로 맑고 밝은 영롱한 빛 인 무량광을 봅니다.  그런 다음 또 하나의 관문을 거쳐 깊은 삼매에서 찾아 온 많은 부처님들을 뵙고 직접 법 문을 듣습니다.  부처님들의 법문을 듣고 공부를 지도 받으며 보다 자주 깊은 삼매에 들어가 붓다로서의 공부 를 하고 있습니다."   비록 불가의 제자들일지라도 자재만현 큰스님의 말 은 예사롭게 들리지 않는다.  지금까지 어느 역대조사 가 서술한 저서나 선가의 선승들도 그 같은 경지를 얘 기한 이가 없기 때문이다.  일견 불가와 인연이 닿지 않 는 이가 들으면 이해가 되지 않을 법한 이러한 경지에 대해 자재만현 큰스님은 시간의 수레바퀴를 7년 전으 로 되돌린다.   "2001년 1월 어느 날이었습니다.  수 십 년 간 각고의 노력으로 염불선으로 정진해오던 중 부처님의 도움으 로 붓다만이 들 수 있는 무아 속 삼매에 들었습니다.  그 때 친히 부처님께서 내게 한 말씀을 하셨습니다."   The Buddha does neither abide oustide nor inside of the mind.   The Buddha abides in an 'Absolute Reslm in selflessness.'   The mind does not have an inside or on outside.   As it neither goes nor comes and does not move,   Buddha abides in that way, too.   Only lumans say whether it exists or it does not exist,   but the Buddhas abide in an 'Absolute Reslm in Sslflessness'.     부처님은 마음 밖에 계시는 것도 아니고, 마음 안에 계시는 것도 아니다. 부처님들은 무아 속 절대계에 계신다. 마음에는 안과 밖이 없다. 가고 옴 없이 움직이지 않고 여여히 부처님 또한 그리 계신다. 다만 중생들이 분별하여 있다 없다 할 뿐, 부처님들은 유무를 초월한 무아 속 절대세계에 계 신다.   At that time, he realized the fact that he himself had accomplished hardship in a past lifetime and that he had been Ananda, one of the ten noble disciples who attended to the Buddha at his side at the time of the Spirit Mountain of Sskyamuni Buddha at his side at the time of the Spirit Mountain of Sakyamuni Buddha. The Great Monk heard and esperienced much regarding the Realms of Bodhisattvas and Buddhas in the state of deep samadhi that he reached through recitation of Buddha"s name.  The state of his being able to see Sakyamuni Buddha supervising the Threefold Great Thousand World Systems and various stages of Bodhisattvas was not been realized in a day.  He attained Buddhahood because he already broke through his Hwadu a long time ago.  He chose to practice meditation by chanting Buddha"s name with a thirst for seek- ing the truth of the universe and also practiced recitation.    In the book <<The 21st Centure Buddha"s Message>>, published in 200d, the Great Monk revealed the song of bliss that he had composed in samadhi in self- lessnessin 2002.     그 때 큰스님은 자신이 과거 생에서 아라한과를 얻 었고, 석가모니 부처님 영산 당시 부처님을 곁에서 시 봉한 아난존자였다는 사실도 알았다.  그 이후 큰스님 은 염불선을 통해 얻은 깊은 삼매의 경지에서 보살과 붓다의 세계에 대한 숱한 소식을 듣고 체험했다.   삼천대천세계를 관장하는 석가모니 부처님과 숱한 보살의 경지를 확인한 큰스님의 경지는 하루 아침에 이루어진 것이 아니다.  이미 오래 전 화두를 타파하고 서도 우주의 진리에 대한 목마름으로 염불선을 선택, 장좌불와하며 일념으로 불보살을 부르며 진리를 갈구 했기에 이루어진 일이었다.   큰스님은 2002년 무아 속 삼매의 경지에서 읊었던 환희의 노래를 지난 2005년 저술한 <<21세기 붓다의 메 시지>>에서 이렇게 밝혔다.     Empty, empty,   the Threefold Great Thousand World Systems   are empty.   The empty realm   where   no dust   and no particle   exists.   Clear, clean,   and pureness itself.   Bliss, bliss,   it id bliss   At that time, Great Monk Jajae Manhyon passedthrough samadhi and attained his Buddhahood approved by the Buddha.   비었어라 비었어라 삼천대천세계가 비었어라 먼지 하나 티끌 하나 없는 공空의 세계 맑고 깨끗한 청정 자체 환희 환희 환희인 것을   그 때 자재만현 큰스님은 대적정삼매를 통과하여 부처님의 붓다 인가를 받은 것이다.         출처/Global ECOVIEW 114~116
